Creative Colors Art

Creative Colors Art is a monthly pencil‑drawing class where residents explore color‑blending, shading, and other foundational art techniques in a relaxed, supportive setting. Each session encourages creativity, hands‑on learning, and meaningful social interaction as participants connect with their peers while developing new artistic skills.

Painting Class

Bi‑Monthly Painting Class invites residents to learn from a talented local artist while exploring acrylics, watercolors, and a variety of fun, creative painting techniques. Each session offers hands‑on instruction, relaxed conversation, and a welcoming space for residents to express themselves and connect with peers through art.

At Chinook Lodge, we are continually inspired by the creativity, imagination, and talent that lives within our community. Every day, our residents bring colour, joy, and originality into our halls—through painting, crafting, writing, and so many other forms of artistic expression.

Artistic expression is one of the core pillars of our Life Enrichment philosophy. We believe that creativity isn’t just enjoyable; it’s essential. Engaging in art stimulates the mind, encourages emotional connection, and supports overall well‑being. The emotional experience of creating—whether it’s the calm of painting, the pride of finishing a project, or the joy of sharing it with others—does more than enrich lives. Northern Lights at Chinook Lodge

Today’s art class was nothing short of magical. Our residents picked up their brushes and brought the Northern Lights to life in vibrant acrylics — each painting as unique and full of personality as the artists themselves.

We’re incredibly grateful for our wonderful art program, painting classes led by talented local artist Angela Talbot, whose gentle guidance and creative spark help our residents explore new skills, express themselves, and discover joy in the process.

Programs like this do more than fill an afternoon — they nurture confidence, connection, and emotional well‑being. Watching residents relax, laugh, share stories, and take pride in their creations is a beautiful reminder of why life enrichment matters so deeply.
