At Chinook Lodge mealtimes are more than just nourishment â theyâre a chance to enjoy homeâcooked comfort, friendly conversation, and a welcoming dining atmosphere. Our talented Red Seal Chef and his team prepare nutritious, beautifully presented meals every day, creating an experience that feels both wholesome and enjoyable.
Our 6âweek rotating menus are created using the Canada Food Guide and approved by a registered dietitian. They change with the seasons and are refreshed regularly to reflect the tastes and preferences of our current residents.Â

While we donât provide specialized diets, diabeticâfriendly desserts are available for those who need them. Every meal includes foods from all four food groups.         Prefer something different from the featured entrĂŠe? No problem â residents can choose from our alternate options, which typically include cold sandwiches and fruit.       Residents are also given a chance to help plan one of the meals on their birthday .Â
The Lodge serves three meals a day and offer snacks at the kitchen for those betweenâmeal cravings.
Snack area open from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The largest meal of the day is served at noon, giving residents a hearty and satisfying midâday experience. Menus are posted one meal in advance so everyone can plan ahead and decide whether theyâd like the featured meal or an alternate. To help our kitchen team serve meals smoothly and on time, residents are encouraged to let staff know one meal ahead if they will be away or dining with us.
